What if a bottle of wine or a can of soda became a luxury reserved for special occasions? This is no futuristic fantasy, but a very real recommendation from the WHO. Worse still, this consumption generates <strong>colossal social, economic and health costs<\/strong>, estimated at several hundred <strong>billion euros<\/strong> every year. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Behavioral taxation<\/strong> is therefore becoming a priority tool for reducing the <strong>prevalence of<\/strong> <strong>addictions<\/strong> in every <strong>country<\/strong>. In <strong>France<\/strong>, which is renowned for its <strong>healthcare<\/strong> system, <strong>results<\/strong> have yet to match ambitions. Nearly 75,000 deaths a year are still attributed to <strong>smoking<\/strong> alone. Every pack of <strong>cigarettes<\/strong> or liter of <strong>wine<\/strong> bought cheaply contributes to a spiral that swallows up <strong>public<\/strong> budgets, overloads <strong>emergency<\/strong> services, exhausts carers and reinforces social inequalities.   <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>French government<\/strong>, under increasing pressure from the <strong>Finance Committee<\/strong>, certain <strong>deputies<\/strong> in the<strong>National Assembly<\/strong>and even <strong>centrist senators<\/strong> such as <strong>Doineau<\/strong>, is beginning to consider <strong>voting<\/strong> in favor of an <strong>amendment to<\/strong>introduce a new <strong>health tax<\/strong>. A <strong>behavioral taxation<\/strong> project could see the light of day in the next finance law. <strong>Elisabeth<\/strong> Borne, former Prime Minister, had already timidly raised the possibility of <strong>increasing<\/strong> <strong>taxes<\/strong> on sugary drinks. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddf7 France lagging behind the world?<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Internationally<\/strong>, other <strong>countries<\/strong> have already taken the plunge. <strong>Mexico<\/strong> has drastically increased <strong>taxation<\/strong> on <strong>soft drinks<\/strong> and seen a drop in <strong>consumption<\/strong>. <strong>New Zealand<\/strong>, meanwhile, has abolished all forms of <strong>tobacco<\/strong> <strong>advertising<\/strong> and is considering a total <strong>ban on<\/strong> sales to future generations.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Meanwhile, in <strong>France<\/strong>, <strong>smokers<\/strong> still pay \u20ac12 for a <strong>pack of<\/strong> cigarettes, whereas the<strong>WHO<\/strong> recommends a <strong>minimum<\/strong> price of <strong>\u20ac12<\/strong> to <strong>\u20ac16<\/strong> to make a real impact. And what about the \u20ac0.80 <strong>tax<\/strong> on a bottle of <strong>wine<\/strong>, unchanged for decades? <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"703\" height=\"178\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mylasertabac.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/oms-organisation-mondiale-de-la-sante-.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10321\" style=\"width:352px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What WHO really wants: lives saved, budget secured<\/h2>\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not just about filling government coffers. The<strong>WHO<\/strong> &#8216;s message is clear: <strong>public health<\/strong> comes first. Every euro invested in <strong>taxing<\/strong> <strong>tobacco<\/strong>,<strong>alcohol<\/strong> or <strong>soft drinks<\/strong> is a euro that strengthens hospitals, funds prevention, saves lives and reduces <strong>public spending<\/strong> on <strong>dental<\/strong> care, cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anti-smoking laser: a gentle, effective and long-lasting response to addiction<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Faced with this wave of <strong>tax measures<\/strong>, another approach, <strong>more humane<\/strong>, more immediate and above all without side effects, is gaining ground: <strong>anti-smoking laser<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Using a method based on <strong>auricular reflexology<\/strong>, the <strong>anti-tobacco laser<\/strong> stimulates precise points in the ear linked to addiction circuits.
