Today, I use a bottle of<strong>e-liquid<\/strong> every week. And now they want to <strong>tax<\/strong> us again? I&#8217;m really angry.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Julia embodies this new generation of <strong>vapoteur<\/strong> who believed that vape offered an economic and health <strong>solution<\/strong> to traditional <strong>smoking<\/strong>. But in the 2025\/2026 tax <strong>context<\/strong>, this dynamic is undermined. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:34px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A tax announced for the 2026 budget<\/h4>\n\n<p>The French <strong>government<\/strong> is considering a <strong>law<\/strong> that would introduce a specific <strong>tax<\/strong> on vaping <strong>products<\/strong> &#8211; notably<strong>e-liquid<\/strong> bottles. According to several sources, the amount envisaged would be between \u20ac0.03 and \u20ac0.05 per milliliter, depending on <g id=\"gid_5\">nicotine<\/g> content. <br\/>This measure comes on top of growing pressure on the vape sector, aligned with that exerted for <g id=\"gid_6\">years<\/g> on <g id=\"gid_7\">tobacco<\/g>. <strong>Vapoteurs<\/strong> denounce a &#8220;bad sign&#8221;: imposing a burden when vape has enabled millions of <strong>smokers<\/strong> to reduce or stop <strong>smoking<\/strong> altogether.    <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:34px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why did they choose vape?<\/h4>\n\n<p>On paper, the argument is simple: <strong>electronic<\/strong> cigarettes offer an alternative to combustible <strong>tobacco<\/strong>, which is often more expensive and more harmful. By choosing vape, <g id=\"gid_2\">smokers<\/g> hope to reduce their <g id=\"gid_3\">budget<\/g>, while improving their <g id=\"gid_4\">health<\/g> and limiting the side effects associated with <g id=\"gid_5\">smoking<\/g>.<br\/>Julien sums it up: &#8220;I got help to stop smoking.
