Denk nog maar eens na. Achter dit geruststellende idee gaat een verraderlijke realiteit schuil: <strong>metatine<\/strong>, een chemisch derivaat van nicotine, is mogelijk <strong>nog verslavender dan nicotine zelf<\/strong>. Het <strong>Nationaal Comit\u00e9 tegen Roken (CNCT)<\/strong> luidt de noodklok en je vraagt je terecht af: waar ben je eigenlijk mee bezig?     <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een gecamoufleerde molecule, maar gevaarlijker<\/h3>\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Metatine, ook bekend als <strong>6-methyl-nicotine<\/strong>, is een synthetische molecule die is gemaakt om dezelfde effecten als nicotine te reproduceren. Maar met een verraderlijke kracht: het bindt zich aan dezelfde receptoren in de hersenen met een intensiteit die tot <strong>3,3 keer groter is<\/strong>, volgens preklinische studies, en het activeert dopamine, de neurotransmitter voor genot, sterker, waardoor de verslavingscyclus wordt versterkt. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Op de markt gebracht onder misleidende labels &#8211; &#8220;nicotinevrij&#8221;, &#8220;zuivere formule&#8221;, &#8220;oppeppend effect&#8221; &#8211; en verkrijgbaar in tientallen fruitige smaken, spreekt het een jong, kwetsbaar publiek aan.
